Abandoned Dog Saves Girl (VIDEO)

Someone rejected Jack, a little Terrier mix, and threw him in a dumpster.  Covered in fleas, he was rescued from the dumpster and became the companion of 8-year-old Maya Pieters, who suffers from a rare medical condition that makes communication difficult and sometimes leads to seizures.

The two bonded immediately and Maya seemed to be able to communicate with Jack better than she did with humans. When Maya had her first seizure in her bedroom, Jack ran up to the door and made a racket until Maya’s parents arrived.

Jack has now gotten to the point where he is able to sense Maya’s seizures before they occur, even rushing to her side to break her fall sometimes.

Jack is Maya’s constant companion and has helped greatly in her socialization. Maya’s parents call Jack their daughter’s guardian angel. After his efforts became known, Jack was named the People’s Choice Valor Dog of the Year award winner.

This is so adorable. I just wish we could afford to adopt a dog. For now, though, we will have to be content with dog-sitting for others when they go on holiday. Good work, Jack. You are a star!

Most people have no idea how wonderful a relationship with an animal can be. And to anyone who would harm an animal or raise it to harm itself and others - you dwell in the abyss of shame and disgrace. If there is anything to the concept of hell, you have created it for animals and justice dictates, you yourself will suffer it for eternity.

What a heart warming and tear jerking story. I volunteer at a animal shelter and I hope people see that animals should be given a second chance. They will save your life not only by giving you all their love but may be the one to do more and save you from a fire, a seizure or maybe a burgular. So please take the chance and adopt because it will do you and the animal good.

SO ADOPT .............IT SAVES TWO ANIMALS THE ONE YOU ADOPT AND THE ONE THAT TAKES ITS PLACE .......AND MORE THAN NOT THE ANIMAL WILL SAVE YOU TOO.
