Rescued Singapore Street Dog’s Last Hours (Video)

Rescued Singapore Street Dog’s Last Hours (Video)

Singapore-based Save Our Street Dogs (SOSD) is an independent organization that seeks to improve the welfare of homeless strays and “give them a chance in life.”

SOSD volunteers rescued a stray dog who was barely able to walk, says the New York Daily News. The dog, Ol Boy, was covered in sores and his skin was infested with hundreds of ticks. He had survived by drinking water dripping from air conditioners and eating food scraps from shopkeepers, though most of his teeth were chipped or missing.

SOSD took Ol Boy to a veterinarian who found that he had several infections and possibly cancer. The SOSD volunteers cared for him, petting him when he winced and cried. Ol Boy died shortly after he sat up for the first time and sipped some water on his own.

SOSF has made a moving and heartfelt video, “Lonely old dog has his dying wish come true,” about Ol Boy and their efforts to rescue street dogs like him. It goes without saying, it’s very good to know he was able to spend his last days in a caring environment and comfort after living such a hard life.

Thank you for what you gave to Ol Boy, he finally had a home and love and didn't die alone. How heartbreaking and what a hard life he had. You gave him so much. I have never cried as much as I did watching the video. You are Angels and the world needs more people like you.

Thank God for people like those two men! What an incredibly sad life such a beautiful creature as Ol Boy had. I am so happy that he spent his last few days with such kind and loving people. I love my two dogs, both adopted from shelters and after seeing this I want to adopt an older dog so that he/she can spend some quality time before their time is over. Thank you for making such a touching video and for all that you did for Ol Boy.

That was a very touching video, and I'm very glad that poor old dog got a lot of love and affection near the end of his life.

Thank you to all of the wonderful people who instead of just putting ol boy down. Gave their time to giving him the love and care he so desparately wanted and to die knowing this love. Well done if only the world was full of more people like you. Thank you so much .

Of course I was not able to see the video , im just crying by reading the story, oh my there are soo many Old Boys on the streets that die alone with no compassion or care in theyre lives, it breaks my heart to think about them . So thanks sooo much to SOSD for giving him the chance to feel loved and care at least for few moments. I wonder why does God permit animals to suffer so much in many ways ? it makes me sad.

Thanks SOSD for granting Ol Boy his finale wishes. Bless him and all that helped him. This is the saddest video I have ever watched.

I am humbled by the beauty in your hearts, SOSD volunteers. What a beautiful thing to do. Ol Boy finally knew kindness, safety and love. You are inspiring! Thank-you xxx
