Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum has been having a good time in Wisconsin campaigning — especially in the alleys. The presidential hopeful has been making it a priority to stop in local bowling alleys for a photo op and a frame or two, famously starting out with a turkey last week.
But, as time has progressed, his game has gotten weaker and weaker. “I think some of the reporters accurately noted that I have dead arm a little bit,” he said at a recent stop, where he wasn’t even breaking 100. “It’s like everything else in the campaign. You have to fight through it. You know, you have to play through injuries and dead-arm periods and keep fighting,”
A “dead arm” is the least of his problem with his bowling analogies. He reportedly refused to let a young boy use a pink bowling ball at one lane, telling him “friends don’t let friends use pink balls.”
The remark has set off a firestorm among the LGBT community, who saw the incident as another incident of Santorum’s conservative adherence to gender roles and fear of all things that could potentially be seen as homosexual. Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Vice President of Communications Fred Sainz stated, “This is another example of Rick Santorum intentionally making ignorant statements that have a real impact on LGBT people. Whether he’s comparing our marriages to inanimate objects, saying our children would be better off with a parent in prison as opposed to two loving same-sex parents, or calling open military service a ‘tragic social experiment;’ he’s proven that he thinks LGBT people are second-class citizens not worthy of dignity or respect. In this case, he’s advancing tired gender norms by implying a boy should be ashamed or embarrassed to use a certain colour bowling ball.”
Yet another sign Santorum’s campaign may be heading straight into the gutter.

Friends don't let friends vote Republican.
A class in RESPECT AND RESPONSIBILITY should be taught from Grade one to graduation, children should be taught that anything is permissible as long as it does not hurt themselves or anybody else. Common sense would dictate that if children are taught at a very early age that every child has their own strengths and weaknesses and that they should use their strengths to help not tease or bully others. It should not matter if a child comes from a FAMILY of a mother and father, 2 mothers or 2 fathers or a single mother or father as long as they are LOVED.
Sex Education should be taught from LGBT, Contraceptives, Masturbation, Pregnancy and all forms of sex. Let us face it whether we like it or not children are curious and are having sex earlier and earlier. Children should be taught the joys and the consequences of having sex ( Pregnancy, STD, AIDS and others.) But you say when will this be taught. Cut out Geography or History early on then put it back in and remove Geometry or Algebra. They can learn this in college if needed. I believe this is a solution. Stopping the damage before it starts so that Bullying, Sexual Assault, and many others will be greatly diminished if not eradicated. It is my belief that when children graduate with these principals where they are taught RESPECT for themselves and others and to take RESPONSIBILITY for their actions. If children grow up with these principals I believe business and government would benefit greatly. Within a few generations
Friends don't let friends use pink balls??? How about...friends don't let friends hold their penis' in their hands when they pee? Too masturbatory? Does the friend then take the problem in hand? None of this has anything to do with governing, anything!!!
A dead arm...dead gray matter & who knows what else
The problem becomes, to people with brains he's a joke, a caricature. Have to remember he's dangerous, but it's hard when he does things like this.
Cue up Camper Van Beethoven, 'Take the Skinheads Bowling'
@ Bee H. I believe I'd drop my bowling ball on his toe instead of my own! But that said, I'm still sending you a green star!

Senator Man-On-Dog strikes again, his constant obsession popping out even in this trivial instance. In the best of all possible worlds, ol' Frothy would be relegated to some small Midwestern town, where he could watch for open curtains and peep in to see what the neighbors were up to, but instead, he's got a serious shot at the White House, where he could impose his nosiness and obsessions on all of us.
poor little boy!
