Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill is up for a heated senate battle this year, and she is getting off to a quick start by launching her first television ad.
Called “From Here,” the Democratic incumbent focuses on “outside” special interest groups wanting to get her out of office because of her dedication to preserving Medicare.
Saying she will protect Medicare is a good move for McCaskill. When the Senate was mulling cutting social safety net programs like Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare in order to reduce the debt, Missouri responded overwhelmingly against putting those programs on the table.
It seems that McCaskill not only got the message, but has added it to her campaign repertoire.

+ add your ownThe 'outside' special interests, are the 1%, who want the rest of us to be their servants.
Remember, no one gets rich on their own. We, the 99%, did it for them. Now, they want to eliminate the few safeguards we possess to help us live a reasonable healthy life.
Don't you wonder, why the Tea Party Republican GOP, keeps shooting themselves in the foot?
Thanks for the article.
Most of y'all don't even know the woman or what she stands for and on the basis of one blip everyone is bravo. Look into her record. She voted for NDAA and was poised to vote for SOPA until she found out it was unpopular. She's all for taking your rights away.
@ Mike C. - "we are working very hard here in kansas City Missouri to get her out of office, she will not return to Washington."
And what, if I may ask, do you wish to put in her place? What qualities? What programs? What views?
