Award winning actor Stanley Tucci has recorded a video for the Human Rights Campaign’s Americans for Marriage Equality series.
In the video 51-year-old Tucci says:
“I’m friends with a lot of couples, some gay and some straight. And at no point have I ever thought that my straight friends were more in love or more committed than my gay friends. So why shouldn’t gay and lesbian couples have the right to get married? Marriage is about love and commitment.”

I'm still wondering how those that are so against same sex marriage feel that it will degrade their own hetero marriages. Do they really think that God would put them asunder for supporting the love of two other human beings?

OK. We won't call it "marrage" we'll settle for "marriage." (Although I do think "marrage" is kind of cute - but then again, that word does belong to straight people and has for centuries.)

Let's see, the institute of marriage is so sacred that straight people stay together "Til death do they part" and they raise their children together so that no child is left behind......and marriage is considered such a sacred institution that no one is allowed to enter it unless they are heterosexual??? Marriage is only for procreating? Does that mean that all marriages that are childless should be annulled, voided out, unacceptable? As a very straight woman, I do not understand the lines that are drawn against who one can love. At no time during my marriage did a gay couple interfere with my marriage.....so is the objection simply what heterosexual people imagine is going on in the beds of gay people? Shame on all of you who are so stingy with love.....we should all be able to love who we want and marry who we want as long as we are of the age of consent. If anyone is to judge, then I do believe that is God's job.
I have always liked Stanley Tucci, what a wonderful actor and human being!
