Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield recently launched a campaign based on the belief that, while they are entitled to rights of free speech and privacy under the Constitution, their company is not.
Tired of watching unlimited amounts of corporate money drown out the voices of the American electorate, the Ben & Jerry’s brand recently joined the CEOs of Stonyfield, Patagonia, Seventh Generation and many other companies to create “Business for Democracy,” a collaborative effort that opposes the Citizens United decision.
“We are building a movement of engaged citizens and responsible business leaders working together to oppose this decision and Get the Dough Out of Politics,” said Cohen and Greenfield in a statement on GetTheDoughOut.org. “Our goal is to take back American democracy, and over-rule the Supreme Court, with a Constitutional Amendment that will keep corporate money out of our elections.”

Great- I'm always happy for more reasons to eat more Ben & Jerry's.
Seriously - kudos to them for taking a stand.
I am not a huge ice cream eater. Albeit, I love these guys. This is a great day for getting money out of our politics, always good having a corporation on your side in a case such as this.
read this yesterday, bought some of their ice cream today
This is great news!
Even better since I love Ben and Jerry's Ice cream!
This will be the only ice cream I will purchase from now on. I have already started shopping more at J.C. Penneys. So appreciate all the info we get here so we know what is happening.
Fantastic! This is one more reason to support these men and this company.
Could not more of us boycott other less reasonable companies? Some of us already do.
Cheers to Ben and Jerry!
nice
I think I'll buy some of their ice cream tomorrow. Live long and prosper, gentlemen!
