Earthlings is a documentary about humankind’s all-encompassing economic dependence on animals and the toll it takes on our planet and the lives and deaths of millions of animals every single day.
Considered one of the most persuasive documentaries ever made and often dubbed “The Vegan Maker”, Earthlings sheds light on the suffering of animals for food, fashion, entertainment and science, to which many people turn a blind eye.
Throughout this thought-provoking film, connections are not only made between sexism, racism and speciesism, but also between the animal enterprise industry and the destruction of the world we all share as earthlings.
Though having been released over five years ago, this documentary’s message is just as important as ever. Woody Harrelson, a long-time vegan, calls it “a must see for anyone who cares enough to know.”
Below is the trailer. The whole video can be streamed from the Earthlings website.
Challenge yourself to make the connection today. Watch Earthlings. Go vegan.

I am not vegetarian, but viewing the film was enough to have me stay away from meat for four days....
We as humankind are just so destructive...
Veggie----------going vegan.
Thank you for the post.
When I saw that documentary, months ago, I couldn't stop crying, I felt awful, and I felt like the worst thing on earth, right now, I am a vegetarian, and I try to do my best for animals day by day, the documentary talks about specisim, and it's incredible that we simply don't notice that, until something like this hit us in the face.
I will send it to my friends once again, hopefully, we all become vegan one day
Susan S. - it is very easy for vegans to get more than enough protein in their diets. this is one of those myths meat eaters like to spread. in fact meat is present in most veggies, grains, beans, nuts..... eat broccoli and you get protein. eat potatoes and you get protein. protein deficiency is practically unheard of except among people who literally have no food. the real health concerns about protein aren't that vegans don't get enough but that meat eaters get too much. i went vegetarian 24 years ago and vegan 11 years ago and i'm healthier and have more energy than most everyone i know.
Relavant presentation.
"Omnivorous" is characteristic for human species- from the food point of view, but there are a lot of points ...
I think the question is could be "Quo vadis homo sapiens?" rather than "Vegan or not vegan"
I´m trying to introduce it at Schools where teachers are particularly compassionate, we have to do with everyone close to us, but mainly with Government and Authorities to show them their GREEAT RESPONSABILITY in our health, future and resources. Information and education are two powerful tools, let us them no to be passive followers of political speaches!
cool video but i already am aware that humans are destructive. also, there are more than 3 primary life forces, what about insects and marine life?
Glad I don't eat meat! Now I wish nobody did!
