Talk about “jackass.” After enraging most of America and disgusting authentic Bible-believing Christians everywhere by picketing funerals of tragically killed kids, fallen U.S. servicemen and women, people of Jewish faith and beloved proponents of equal rights, the radical hate group known as Westboro Baptist Church now plans to branch out into celebrity funerals as well.
According to a new press release, the group has now proclaimed that Ryan Dunn, star of MTV’s comedy stunt show Jackass, is “in hell” for his “vulgar stunts” after dying in a car crash late Monday. As the press release states, Dunn’s funeral will apparently serve well as a venue to warn “all not to make a mock of sin & to fear & obey God” and further explain to the world exactly what God “hates.” Westboro’s website describes the innate hatefulness imbibes in how and why they do what they do:
WBC engages in daily peaceful sidewalk demonstrations opposing the homosexual lifestyle of soul-damning, nation-destroying filth. We display large, colorful signs containing Bible words and sentiments, including: GOD HATES FAGS, FAGS HATE GOD, AIDS CURES FAGS, THANK GOD FOR AIDS, FAGS BURN IN HELL, GOD IS NOT MOCKED, FAGS ARE NATURE FREAKS, GOD GAVE FAGS UP, NO SPECIAL LAWS FOR FAGS, FAGS DOOM NATIONS, THANK GOD FOR DEAD SOLDIERS, FAG TROOPS, GOD BLEW UP THE TROOPS, GOD HATES AMERICA, AMERICA IS DOOMED, THE WORLD IS DOOMED, etc.
Westboro, which most mainstream Christians refuse to call a “church,” is widely despised for its use of bigoted and inflammatory hate speech, its perversion of the tenets of Christian faith, and its desecration of the solemnity and dignity of funerals. Though even despised by the Klu Klux Klan, Westboro was given the Supreme Court free-speech greenlight to enjoin such protests, so we can expect the circle of their sensational and hateful actions to continue expanding.
