Imagine the anguish of having a stillborn child. Then imagine finding that your partner's name has been erased from the child's death certificate.
This is what Iowa couple Jenny and Jessica Buntemeyer, a married same-sex couple, faced last month when their child's death certificate was sent back to them by the Iowa Department of Public Health.
The administration refuses to acknowledge that marriage gives both same-sex partners the right to be classed as parents. Can you imagine the pain this has caused them?
Jenny and Jessica have filed a lawsuit but they shouldn't have to when they are grieving the loss of their baby boy.
Tell the Iowa Department of Public Health that it must end this callous discrimination NOW!
