Meet Jeff Kidston
Dawn Anderson and Jeff Kidston are both from the state of
Washington and work in the civil engineering field. Their interest in
photography started in the mid 1980's, and their interest in Macaws
started in the early 1990's. This interest in photography and Macaws
soon took them to the Tambopata - Candamo Reserve Zone of SE Peru which
is one of the worlds best bird watching spots. Within this Reserve is
the largest know clay lick and one of only two known licks where the
Blue and Yellow Macaws come to eat the clay. After trips in 1996, 97,
98, and 1999 they decided it was time to share the wonders of the Macaws
of Peru with the world.
Visit their web site to find information on how you can travel to this
part of the world and to see many more beautiful pictures of these
magnificent birds and other pictures of the Amazon.
