Zoltan earned his degree in Architecture in Vienna, Austria. Study trips through Europe brought him subsequently to the shores of Africa. For the past 25 years he has lived and worked in Johannesburg.

From his early life he was interested in Poetry, Lyrics and writing. He grew up in a rich cultural environment, shaped by famous 'Pannonian' poets like Heimito von Doderer, Franz Werfel, Nikolaus Lenau and Johan Nepomuk Vogl and musicians and composers like Joseph Haydn, Franz Liszt and Carl Goldmark. They inspired Zoltan's love for poetry, music and the fine arts.

Drawing the environment, excursions to the world of painting followed. Later, he exchanged the brush for the study of architecture. Zoltan's interests expand into the fields of graphics and photography, as well.

His life in Africa has kindled poetic inspiration from the natural beauty of indigenous landscapes including the magnificent forests in South Africa. "The famous 'Tsitsikama' forests are a concern to environmentally conscious people worldwide. The giant Knysna-Elephants are an awesome sight to be confronted with there, if one attempts the challenges of the various nature trails", says Zoltan.

World wide conservation issues are increasingly a concern to him, as well as the wish to contribute to the saving of the natural environments. During his design and building work the planting of trees was always a priority on the design list. During Care2's competition to 'Save the Rain Forests', he was inspired to write a poem and dedicate it to Care2 for our efforts to save the precious forests for future generations. A friend of his, a good poet and photographer of note, encouraged him to write and to carry out his poetic ideas.

Zoltan will be publishing his poetry and establishing his own website on environments and travels through Africa soon.
