What kind of work or accomplishments have you done with your artwork? Well I?m very new at this. I think having my work shown on Care2 is an accomplishment. At least it is a pretty good start.

Have you won any awards for your artwork? Nope, I'm just starting out, hopefully in the future.

Why the interest in photo compositing of animals and nature? I lived in the Panama Canal for 10 years and fell in love with the country. I truly felt Panama was heaven on earth and I owned part of that heaven. That is not a feeling you get living in crowded cities. Once you have experienced that kind of beauty and peacefulness, you don?t want to see it lost or destroyed. I believe that Care2 expresses this sentiment and is a great place to share it with other people.

How many years have you been pursuing art? I didn?t really pursue it. It found me when I got my computer three years ago. I was just having fun entertaining friends with images. When I started making montages for my Michael Ironside web site, I realized the creative possibilities were limitless and what I loved doing had a name - computer graphics.

What year were you born and where? I was born and raised in southern California, and I will never see 39 again, or 40, or --- well you get the idea.

Do you do this full time, and if not, what else do you do? Presently it is a hobby. I have a small, but demanding dog that refuses to work for a living so presently I work part-time at in a large condo association office in Florida. Before that I worked in various agencies for the US government.

Has anyone been a particular inspiration to you in pursuing art? I would consider graphic artist Robert Bowen?s "Spaceship" and Wendy Grossman?s "Into the year 2000" to be very inspirational. To be able to create work like that would be wonderful!

What is your goal with your artwork? To have someone look at my work and say "WOW", I love that!" Oh, a little bit of fame would be nice for the ?ham? in me. I?ve discovered something that brings me pleasure. It is thrilling to have people look at something I?ve created and enjoy it. Not that I have anything against money - it?s up there on my priority list - just not at the very top!

Did you ever have any formal training in art? Not really. I did a lot of photography when I lived in Panama. Computers and I get along well and art design seems to come naturally. I?ve learned all the software myself. I love playing with images and color and I like instant gratification! Computer art allows me to see my results immediately. I can create anything I can imagine -- that is a wonderful feeling. I?m also into web design, video capture, creating applets and GIF animations. Each has their own special appeal.

What are the most compelling reasons to visit your site? My website is called Patpaws Graffiti- my scribblings on the wall of life. It is devoted to my art, and my humor both rather vivid and visual.
