I wish to express our support for the iMatter campaign founded by 16 year-old Alec Loorz and the lawsuit he has filed on behalf of his generation.
In Alec's own words, the government "has failed [the youth] by not protecting the resources on this planet we need to survive. Even though scientists overwhelmingly agree [about the dangers of climate change] our leaders continue to turn their backs on this crisis ... The government has a legal responsibility to protect the future for our children." (

Concerned citizens, young and old, who agree with Alec that future generations deserve more protection than corporate or political special interests. I demand that the U.S. Government implement measures to regulate energy and cut carbon emissions by 6% each year. I am willing to work hard and sacrifice so that our youth inherit a healthier planet.
