Stop Torturing Elephants

The movie "Water for Elephants" was released in April, starring Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson.

It also stars Tai, a 42-year-old Asian elephant, and secret video footage released by Animal Defenders International shows Tai being electric-shocked and beaten to make her perform tricks that she later went on to perform in the film.

Gary Johnson, a founder of Have Trunk Will Travel, the company that supplied Tai, claims that the elephant was never hit at all, but this video footage proves otherwise.

Please sign the petition to Gary and Kari Johnson, the owners of Have Trunk Will Travel, to demand that they stop abusing elephants.
We, the undersigned,

Have recently seen some disturbing video footage released by Animal Defenders International, showing Tai, the elephant who played Rosie in the film "Water for Elephants," undergoing both electric shocks and beating during her training at Have Trunk Will Travel.

We are writing to ask that you cease using such harsh methods when you are training elephants.

Thank you so much for your time,
