Solve the Honeybee Crisis

Bees are causing some buzz lately -- because they aren't buzzing. For the past three years, the honeybee population has been in decline, and researchers can't pinpoint a specific cause.

If we don't solve the honeybee crisis, the entire United States agriculture system could be at risk.

More than one-third of U.S. crops depend on pollination. And everything from viruses and parasites to pesticides and cellphones have been examined as possible causes for the crisis. But so far, the research is in vain.

California is one of the world's most productive agricultural areas. Saving California agriculture would be a major step toward saving the world's food supply, and if the problem is environmental, it could start repercussions to improve Colony Collapse Disorder around the country. Tell Governor Schwarzenegger to make a greater effort to solve the honeybee crisis.

Dear Governor Schwarzenegger,

California is one of the world's most productive agricultural areas. Unfortunately, agriculture as we know it is threatened because of Colony Collapse disorder.

More than one-third of U.S. crops depend on pollination, including strawberries, broccoli, almonds, and cucumbers. And everything from viruses and parasites to pesticides and cellphones have been examined as possible causes for the crisis. But so far, the research is in vain. If we don't solve the honeybee crisis, the entire United States agriculture system could be at risk.

Make a greater effort to find the cause of the honeybee crisis and increase the California bee population.
