Tell Congress: It's Time For Consistent Immigration Legislation

Recent state laws regarding immigration only prove that what America needs is fair, clear and consistent federal laws.

Harsh immigration laws are sweeping the nation and we must stop them before more people are harassed and unjustly punished. In Arizona, failure to carry immigration documents is a crime and police have broad power to detain anyone suspected of being in the country illegally. In Georgia, undocumented workers can get up to 15 years in prison, and American citizens caught in their presence can get up to one year.

Immigrant rights are human rights, and no matter what the circumstances, everyone involved deserves to be treated humanely and with respect.

Tell Congress that we need consistent and just immigration laws for all of America.
I urge the U.S. Congress to work together to create fair, respectful and consistent immigration laws.

The laws that states like Arizona and Georgia have passed are harsh and damaging to citizens, undocumented workers and the states themselves. America needs consistent reform across the country to protect everyone involved from abuses of power and unreliable rules.
