Harper, Cooperate Fully with Election Scandal Investigation

Right before the 2011 election, a number of Canadian voters got phone calls redirecting them to polling locations they say didn't make sense. In reality, the calls were Conservative-sponsored messages trying to confuse non-Conservatives into not getting their votes counted.

Many recipients, realizing the locations were "way the hell across town," complained to the callers, one who now says she became so concerned she reported the situation to her supervisor.

The employer that provided these callers with the suspicious script was a Canadian Conservative Party think tank, Responsive Marketing Group (RMG), considered a "driving force" behind Prime Minister Harper's election.

Liberal leader Bob Rae has collected evidence of more such "dirty tricks" which he says could have caused the defeat of Liberals in 2011. But Harper denies the Conservative Party had anything to do with the scandal.

Tell Harper that Canadian voters deserve the truth.

We, the undersigned, are disturbed by indications that Canada's 2011 election was fixed, and we find the evidence convincing.

We agree with Interim Liberal Leader Bob Rae that Conservative Party tactics used were suppressive and underhanded and amount to a collection of "dirty tricks," which must be fully investigated, all the way up to and including the Office of the Prime Minister.

Misdirecting voters was clearly not the only tactic used. The Star reported that one candidate, who lost to a Conservative by only 26 votes, said he had received a number of disturbing reports, including one alleging a polling location was temporarily shut down by a Conservative staffer.

We also agree with Rae and others that it's unlikely a lone staffer was capable of devising and organizing a scheme that could have involved millions of phone calls.

We request your full cooperation with this investigation into Election fraud and appreciate your serious attention to this request.
