Hey TransCanada, We're not Terrorists

TransCanada is the corporation behind the $5.3 billion Keystone XL oil pipeline.  New documents show that they have been briefing police and officials about non-violent protesters, urging prosecutors to consider them "terrorists".

Specific individuals are identified in the leaked document.  The terrorist activity they are accused includes  social media communication, tree climbing, banner hanging, and public speaking.

Those accused are environmental activists who work for world-renowned and respected organizations.  Their only crimes are working to advocate and educate on the risks associated with the Keystone XL oil pipeline.

TransCanada needs to know that the public is against this massive and dangerous pipeline.  Non-violent protest is a legal and efficient way to engage the public and pressure the corporation. We must not stand by as TransCanada silences that protest.

 Tell TransCanada that the labeling of activists as "terrorists" and targeting them for police suspicion is unjust and unnecessary.

Dear TransCanada;

The tactics you've employed to deal with non-violent activists is dangerous and unacceptable.  The use of protest to express concern, educate, and advocate, is not terrorism.

The individuals that you've identified in leaked documents are professionals who have dedicated their lives to protecting something of great value to Americans and Canadians alike.  We wont stand by and let you bully them.

Stop accusing individuals that disagree with you of being terrorists.  We demand that you rescind your accusations and apologize publically.  There is great danger in your misguided actions and we encourage you to recognize that.

Signed,
Concerned Activists
