10. Pets
A kitten or a puppy makes an adorable gift, but springing a pet on someone is not fair to the pet or to the recipient. Careful consideration and planning are necessary to ensure that a pet is welcome and the owner is able to provide good care. Unless you are offering the pet to your own child or to someone with whom you discussed the matter, it’s best for all concerned to let people choose their own pets.

thanks... some were "okay" others just sucked
You've GOT to be kidding me.... Kids, or babies, do NOT need any type of cell phone until they can at least understand the concept of it. Jeez, what is this crazy world coming to?!?
An Iphone for a 6 mnth old ????? ummm but then saying that my sister got my son an electronic dog that laughs manically and spins in circles when you pat it on the head ..I can sense a battery shortage mysteriously hitting our house soon..
These are truly horrible toys, for the most part. I will say that the "pee and poo" are cute, and look soft and cuddly--but why are they crafted as pee and poo?--Yes, it's unique, but I just can't get beyond the fact that pee and poo would be gross things to cuddle up to.
these toys are garbage
very good post! thanks for sharing
I found simple toys are often the best for kids. Also I'm not into giving stereotypical toys based on gender. Variety is also good when gift giving. The list given are obviously no go's.
Little babies need simple toys - can't quite believe that infants need smartphones. Yes, 3-6 year olds love toys that look like what grownups have.
Yeah, these all seem like horrible ideas. I'm so glad none of these landed up under the tree for my toddler.
