10 Handmade Bathing Suits

Memorial day has passed, which means… it’s summer! So get ready to break out the swimsuits, towels and sunscreen, ’cause we’re headed to the pool, beach or lake in no time (if you haven’t already). But instead of facing another season of dreaded swimsuit shopping, consider buying handmade and having a suit made to your exact body specifications. Got some sewing skills? Even better, as you can experiment with making your own! Miss my roundup on last years hot suits? Check those out as well, they’re all still available and as cute as ever!

Score fabric and a liner at your local fabric store and be on your way to making your own suit like the one pictured above! You’ll just need an old swimsuit to use as a muslin or pattern. Interested in learning more? Check out Lucky and Blissful for full instructions and photos for how to complete an awesome swimsuit! Want to learn about making a suit but not exactly this pattern? There’s another amazing how-to over at BurdaStyle.
