3. Apple Berry (Billardiera scandens)

These oblong, fuzzy berries grow throughout Australia. They don’t ripen until autumn, after the berries have dropped onto the ground. The taste is similar to kiwifruit or stewed apples.

interesting!!! i think the crowberries, calafate berries, and saskatoon berries all look like blueberries too. the salmon berry and clowdberry intrigue me!

I eat aronia raw. It's amusing to think some sources consider it inedible. One can dry it and use as a tea.
