Wow, some uses are really surprising... thanks for posting!
I love recycling and reusing things that other folks think are trash. We compost our eggshells but some these ideas are interesting and deserve a try!
Don't take common things easily; they can have substantial use
Well, I will just surrender the tulips to the deer. They have started in on them despite the eggshells!
We have scattered the winters supply of shells around the gardens. It seems to work...otherwise the deer would have had the tulips by now! I wonder how long they will be viable, though. Will the rain, sun, etc. weaken their effect?
Interesting, usually that is something you just throw out. I also found out that firemen use the egg whites to help burn victims, it helps replenish skin and keep it from burning deeper. A good collagen !
Great ideas! We save all our egg shells in a shallow dish on the back of the stove to dry out. Then I crush them with my potato masher.
Eggs have a lot of versatile uses and one can certainly do some recycling by using all of the egg, even the shell.
Yvonna I, yes...I have read about the egg industry as you mentioned which varies from nation to nation. There is nothing wrong with organic eggs even if one doesn't have hens in their backyard or farm. Perhaps free range/organic eggs are "no good to" people who are vegan but for others, including vegetarians avoiding factory farm eggs is something to do. One can always drop into the farm where the eggs are obtained to check out conditions and make sure that the hens have proper living conditions.

Who knew??? Good ideas I can definitely use!
