3 Free Yoga Resources to Help with Your Practice

One of the things that keeps people (including me!) from practicing yoga regularly is cost. Yoga equipment can be pretty affordable—all you really need are a mat and some comfy clothes—but classes can cost a fortune! These free yoga resources can help keep your practice on track without costing you a penny.

Of course, there are benefits to in-person yoga class that you don’t get from an online video. A good yoga instructor helps students do each pose with proper alignment, correcting you, if you need it. If you’re new to yoga, a few classes can be a big help. Think of these free yoga resources as a way to supplement your yoga classes or continue your practice once you feel comfortable with basic yoga poses.

1. Do Yoga With Me - This is a new-to-me resource that I have seen recommended a few times lately. There are yoga routines available for all skill levels that range from a few minutes to over an hour.

Do Yoga With Me also has a couple of yoga challenges to help kickstart your routine. The 14 Day Challenge is an intermediate series of classes. Their 30 Day Challenge has both beginner and intermediate options, and the Challenge page helps you decide what level is best for you.

2. Yoga with Adriene - Adriene’s YouTube channel is probably my personal favorite free yoga resource online. Her 31 Days of Yoga is a great way to get your practice back on track. On top of the 31 Days, her channel has free yoga routines to help deal with specific physical or emotional issues.

I’m also a big fan of her videos that break down and explain individual poses. If you want to perfect your downward dog, for example, she can help. Just search her channel for the pose you want or the area you want to focus on, and I can almost guarantee you’ll find a helpful video!

3. Cosmic Kids - I’ve written about Cosmic Kids Yoga here at Care2 before. My son and his best friend love it! Each video is a yoga routine disguised as a kid’s adventure story. It’s a great way to introduce kids to yoga poses in a fun way.

Cosmic Kids also has a series of meditation videos just for kids. I haven’t tried these with my son, but it is on our to do list. One of his best buddies loves the meditation series, so I have high hopes.

Yoga has changed my life in more ways than one. I am more healthy, agile, active and most of all spiritual. I just read an awesome article on https://psychicgiant.com/ about being spiritual and I am on the right track to becoming the strong women I always knew I could be. I am blessed
