5 Creative Ways To Use Zinc-Rich Pumpkin Seeds

Pumpkin seeds, or pepitas, are super healthy for you. You may already know about the health benefits of pumpkin seeds: Theyíre high in protein, have more whole food carbohydrates than other seeds, are rich in zinc, are chock-full of omega-3s and contain plenty of nutritious magnesium. If you think you may be low on zinc or magnesium, itís a great idea to add more pumpkin seeds into your diet. Here are a few of our favorite ways to do it.

I’m totally loving these healthy breakfast bites from One Little Project. They’re super-nutritious, filled with oats, pumpkin puree, pumpkin seeds, honey and cranberries. If you don’t eat honey, just sub in maple syrup instead.
