Interesting, people can be allergic to so many things be they natural or artificial. I am allergic to both
penicillin and sulfa drugs.

I remember in nursing school a 26 year old male was comatose from a reaction to penicillin. He never regained conciseness .

In this day and age, I find it hard to believe there are people who think they are protecting their children by not getting them vaccinated. I believe that all these allergies that have cropped up over the past 3 or 4 decades are caused by the massive amount of chemicals we are subjected to in our lives. It is next to impossible to get through a day without coming into contact with something we cannot pronounce without a science degree.

Two comments to several of you.
First...pertaining to vaccines....You DO NOT want to see your child with polio! How do I know? I HAD POLIO when I was 13, before the vaccine was out. I watched from a hospital bed..others of my friends who also wound up with polio, landed in iron lungs, wearing braces (I wore them too my freshman year in high school), and I appeared to recover with no problems. Again, wrong..I now must deal with Post Polio Syndrome and will eventually be in a wheel chair. I cannot stand up to cook a full meal; I cannot walk around a mall. I do therapy every day, just to keep mobile. I am just now 74. I have had high school students wind up with chickenpox..and land in the hospital for two weeks. One of our students gave her mother measles..and it turns out her mother was pregnant...and the results were NOT good. There are reasons for vaccines; they do NOT need to be given all at once, but there are sound reasons for giving them. Ask someone who has had shingles if they would have taken a chicken pox vaccine if it had been available.
Second, drug allergies can also develop over a period of time and can be life-threatening. My blood pressure medicine worked fine for about a year. Then, my sodium literally took an overnight drop from it, and I almost died.
I don't take the flu vaccine nor does my husband. Only times we have had it, except for once was when we were required to take it and we both wound up with the flu.. Certain people DO need to

really helpful and something to keep in the back of your mind for yourself as well as when you may be a caretaker!! it isn't always the drug but the carrier or a generic vs name-brand!
