If you’re having trouble sleeping, what about a midnight snack? Think twice–here are five foods that can prevent you from getting a good night’s rest:
1. Chocolate.
Love an evening cup of cocoa? That sundae in front of the TV? Be careful of chocolate in all its disguises. Many people are increasingly sensitive to caffeine as they get older, and even the little chocolate chunks in chocolate chip ice cream could zap you just enough to prevent ZZZZs. Chocolate also contains tyrosine, a stimulating amino acid.

My late DAD, who was a bright, wondrous, WWII, Korean conflict vet said, "Listen, JUDY! Wine will give you one hell of a drunk. Stay away!" I listened. Pain is keeping me awake. TRIGEMINAL NEURALGIA and ATYPICAL FACIAL PAIN caused by an experimenting neuro-surgeon in Wilkes-Barre, PA. My Dr. Babu fixed the trigeminal at NYU, but the W-B guy took a "flap incision" and biopsied me, etc., etc., etc., for 8 hours. My beloved husband Bob and kitty, laying by my computer table, keep me smiling! I practice deep breathing and
memory games, crossword puzzles, and sometines, they work. I think that I should write a book about this adventure.................because I still LOVE my LIFE with
my Bobby, kitty, family and MUSIC that I share with students. Thanks for posting the article!
