2. Chinese Five Spice
2 tbsp anise seed
2 tbsp fennel seed
2 tbsp ground cinnamon
2 tbsp whole cloves
2 tbsp whole peppercorns

Wow, stimulating article! Of course, the right spices make a world of difference. We are growing some of our own herbs. I love lavender; but never knew it as a spice before this reading.
