5. Forest Kindergartens.

Who says you need walls to learn? Heck, who needs a building at all? Forest kindergartens, a concept popularized in Europe, are schools for 3-6 year olds that take place almost entirely outdoors. Kids in regular kindergartens play on the monkey bars; kids in forest kindergarten climb trees. Rain or shine, snow or rain, heat or cold, these kids are out exploring and interacting with their environment.

Thank you for a great article with good information. I loved all the schools, the kids are lucky to be given to chance to attend these.

I think the cave school is awesome because it involved a community coming together to educate their children who otherwise would have nothing. Sometimes the government doesn't think before shutting down something that is important to a community. It makes it better that it was in a cage, more uniqie, and the kids looked happy enough :)

John S. -- First of all, it's LGBT*, not LGTG. Second of all, yes, it IS diverse. If you'd bothered to do even five seconds of research, you'll see the school is NOT limited to only LGBT* individuals. Maybe if the school you went to had taught you about educating yourself before speaking on topics you know nothing about, you'd not be looking so silly right now.

Interesting

Totally useless, especially listing schools that have been closed for several years, or celebrating a school for diversity because it's only for LGTG students (not really diversity, is it).
