6 Seniors Who Make You Wonder What You’ve Done With Your Life (Video)

  • 1 of 2

Are you leading a fulfilling life? What have you done in the past week to revel in the awesome opportunity that is living on planet Earth?

If we’re being truly honest with ourselves, for many of us, the answer to that first question is, “no,” and the answer to the second question is, “nothing.”

Perhaps it’s because we don’t think we have the time. Or maybe we think that we lack the finances. Possibly, we’ve simply reached that age where our joints start hurting or our bodies just aren’t what they used to be.

Whatever your pretext for not living life to the fullest, it’s time to shelve the excuses. Kick start your spring cleaning routine by dusting off the New Year’s resolutions you left behind somewhere in the second week of February.

For a healthy dose of inspiration, check out these six seniors who don’t know the meaning of the words too busy, too tired, or too old:

The Woman Who Started Practicing Yoga Decades Before You Were Born: Last year, Guinness World Records named then-93-year-old, Tao Porchon-Lynch the World’s oldest Yoga Teacher. Since the age of 8, Porchon-Lynch has been practicing yoga and has spent the last 45 years teaching students around the world. Did we mention that she’s also an avid ballroom dancer?

Tao’s life motto is; “There is nothing we cannot do if we harness the power within us.”

One's life is determined by its quality, not length

You don't need to be a senior to choose to change your life, as each of these did, deciding to pursue what's really in your heart, instead of what you were told you were "supposed" to do with your life. On the other hand, as my grandmother said, age is just a number. Today's the only day you have. Start now!
