Every year, the State Fair of Texas holds the Big Tex Choice Awards, a chance for the fair concessionaires to concoct their craziest fried food ideas in hopes of winning one of the top two spots. This week, the title of Best Taste went to the Deep Fried Jambalaya (shown above), and the Fried Bacon Cinnamon Roll (below) was named Most Creative.
Click through to see some of the honorees from previous years. Calling some of these “food” is a stretch to begin with, and a dip in the deep fryer certainly doesn’t add to the nutrition value —but we must admit, the number of different things humans manage to fry is pretty impressive!

Interesting...saw some weird articles about deep fried things from Calgary and Toronto but these ones also take the cake. Of course some places outdo even these with deep fried tarantulas which are sold at local markets in Cambodia. Hard to believe, but true.

Ew. Gross. Just super gross. Beer battered fish, sure. Not a problem. but Fried beer and bubble gum? These are all nasty.

Its crazy how they come up with ideas to deep fry stuff, I dont know, maybe water is next :/
But that doesnt mean I'd ever try any of these foods! Nooooo way! They sound seriously disgusting.
