Today’s a good excuse to bake a big batch of brownies, for you, family, and friends – or maybe just for you. This rich and decadent dessert was born in the good ole’ U.S. during the 20th century, although its origin story is varied.
Some say that a baker accidentally added chocolate into a batch of biscuits. Others say a woman in Bangor, Maine, was baking a chocolate cake and forgot to add baking powder. Her cake turned out flat, and thus, she served the first brownies. Whatever the true story is, we can’t deny that these little fudge brownies are delicious and the perfect finger food, snack, and dessert.
