7 Vegan Brownies For The Win!

Today’s a good excuse to bake a big batch of brownies, for you, family, and friends – or maybe just for you. This rich and decadent dessert was born in the good ole’ U.S. during the 20th century, although its origin story is varied.

Some say that a baker accidentally added chocolate into a batch of biscuits. Others say a woman in Bangor, Maine, was baking a chocolate cake and forgot to add baking powder. Her cake turned out flat, and thus, she served the first brownies. Whatever the true story is, we can’t deny that these little fudge brownies are delicious and the perfect finger food, snack, and dessert.

These do look really good and by all accounts I have heard sweet vegan baked goods are very tasty. In fact, there are very many successful Vegan Bakeries popping up all over. No one can seem to tell that its not made with animal products.

But think about it for a minute. Shortening, sugar, flour(white or otherwise) are all vegan.

The question is -does mean its healthier? I'll answer for you. NO. Not in the least bit. But it is a good marketing gimmick for bakeries.

Notice there are very, very few successful restaurants. For that matter, there are very, very few suitable Vegan recipes at all.
