A Call for Conscious Evolution

The human family is in the midst of the most significant transformation of consciousness since its emergence in Africa over one hundred thousand years ago. Consciousness has been evolving for billions of years from the first cell to us. We are becoming aware that through our own consciousness the universe can know itself. This awareness reveals incredible new potential for our individual and collective humanity.
Simultaneously, we are the first species on this Earth aware that we can destroy ourselves by our own action. This may be the greatest wake-up call to the evolution of consciousness since the origin of Homo sapiens.
We now realize that we are affecting our own evolution by everything we do. This knowledge awakens in us the aspiration to become more conscious through subjective practices including meditation, reflection, prayer, intuition, creativity, and conscious choice making that accelerate our evolution in the direction of unity consciousness and inspire us to deeply align our collective vision.
THE CHALLENGE
At this juncture in human history, urgent global crises challenge us to learn to live sustainably, in harmony and gratitude with one another and with the living universe. The changes required of humanity are broad, deep, and far reaching. Only by acting swiftly and creatively can we birth a planetary culture that will bring well-being to every form of life in the Earth community.
The good news is that a compelling new story of our potential as a whole human species is emerging–a story of collaboration, citizen action, dialogue and new understandings propelled by unprecedented levels of democratic freedom, multicultural exchange, and access to communication technologies. It is nothing less than the story of our collective evolution.
OPPORTUNITIES FOR ACTION
We recognize that the inner and outer aspects of life evolve together. A dramatic awakening in consciousness will involve an equally dramatic shift in outward aspects of our lives. In particular, we see the following as vital opportunities for our conscious evolution, both personally and collectively:
Cultivating a Paradigm of Aliveness: We regard the universe as deeply alive and conscious by nature. In a living universe, our sense of subtle connection and participation with life around us is the basis for a compassionate and cooperative approach to living.
Educating for an Evolving Consciousness: Awakening consciousness is the foundation for all the change we seek to see in the world. We can work to elevate our capacity for conscious reflection and creative action in our personal lives as well as our collective lives as communities. We must support research and educational strategies that optimize human capacities and explore the nature of consciousness.
Restoring Ecological Balance: The balance of planetary ecosystems is fundamental to our survival. We must reverse the pollution of our global commons–the water, air and soil that nourish all life. We must encourage the proliferation of clean, renewable energy sources and expend all necessary resources toward mitigating the effects of climate change.
Encouraging Conscious Media: We must find innovative ways to use the new electronic media as the mirror of our positive evolutionary story, investing in their capacity to reach across differences of generation, culture, religion, wealth, and gender to build a working consensus about our collective future.
Engaging in Social and Political Transformation: More sustainable ways of living will require the support of a more conscious democracy and vibrant civil society from which more enlightened leaders will emerge. All individuals should be encouraged to use their gifts to create participatory, responsible and compassionate models of governance.
Working for Integrity in Commerce: Conscious businesses that are aware of the scope, depth, and long-range impacts of their actions are key to achieving sustainability. Business must become an ethical steward of the Earth’s ecology and consciously establish an economic basis for a future of equitably shared abundance.
Promoting Health and Healing: The science of mind-body-spirit health has demonstrated the profound connection between the health of a whole person and the health of the system in which he or she lives. Whole systems healing, respecting both traditional knowledge and modern sciences, must be supported in physical, social, and spiritual domains.
Building Global Community: The new story is about all of us who share this planet. Together, we can create a culture of peace that eliminates the need for armed conflict, respecting and appreciating the glorious diversity of our human family.

add your comment »It's a shame how human beings tend to become part of the problem rather than part of the solution. As soon as somebody states something then they tend to become critics instead of helpers. How people that create a god to their own image are the first to become part of the problem.
At first I asked myself : What's wrong with us?...and then I came to realize that there is nothing wrong with us...it's just panic to the unknown that sets them off.....we are still as GOD created nothing has changed...it's what we have created what should be forgotten....Did I say all that OUT LOUD??

The most obvious conclusion that can be drawn from reading this"call" is that you fundamentally don't understand what evolution is. "Sustainable living" is a fine, practical, responsible objective; it has nothing to do with evolution, which takes place with or (mostly) without conscious involvement.

why is this inappropriate?
It is time for us to take charge and make the difference in everyday life….we are curently on a time of awakening, the world is becoming concious of its self….but something I realized was that there are many people out there who are aware of what is going on and choose or feel they cant do anything about it or are waiting for some political leadder to do something…when infact it takes one person for the change to take effect….I think we should stop TRYING TO DO SOMETHING, instead know that you are the difference, be the difference and in so doing you change what you experience in life…you have control of your life….another thing we should keep in mind is that the problem in life now is in our beleives. We need to open our minds and welcome in new thougts about life and become more aware of the fact that life is unlimited….and we should all stop fearing death, for you see the thought of death is what is killing us and keeping us in fear….I suggest one thing and one thing only…HAVE FAITH IN YOUR SELF AND EVERYTHING YOU DO, and I promise you, your life will change for ever

I do not believe this Conscious Evolution will change anything, because the Creator God, the God of Abraham, is not mentioned in it. I believe God created the universe and all that lives in it. Until mankind is reconciled to the living God, and live in his natural and spiritual laws - as expressed in Judaism and Christianity, we will not have peace on earth. This has all the hallmarks of one-world religion. It sounds so nice, but there is no redemptive suffering in it. Life is suffering said the Buddha.
No God, no peace. Know God, know peace.
Jesus is going to return soon. Will he find faith on Earth?

Let us focus the flow and freedom of our beauty in our actions and in our thoughts, and move away from superficial appearances.
People have good reasons for the bad choices they make. We us all work together to find those reasons and play our part in resolving them.

What can this pledge achieve, that hard work and integrity will not? When will these consciousness leaders going to c organize for meaningful change? Without real community organization is meaningless. How are these leaders responding to the crisis everyone is facing right now? How are they practically doing to achieve what they are proposing right now? How many are sharing their wealth of experiences and of solutions for free? How many invested in the bubbles & contributed to the present collapse? Who knew about this financial crisis outcome and did something to prevent it? If their consciousness is such, where were their warnings about the bursting of the mother of all bubbles? The Budha said: "Question everything."
This can be a great marketing tool. All of you savvy entrepreneurs (in the material spiritualism supermarket) have done some things for the sake of marketing alone.
Spirituality is not for sale. It is for sharing, elevating, cooperating, bringing about changes that benefits everyone involved, not just a segment a few.I have seeing it, there is nothing free in any of your websites nor I have seeing any ads for free events from any of you. What I know is that we are showered with scams all the time. Some of them very sophisticated. Consumerism has brought peril to the Earth. There are tools for increasing consciousness that are free. Are you peddling that or costly ones that was made in China or India for peanuts? OM GUM GANAPATAYEI NAMAHA.

What will be reflected back to us is an accurate response to our mass vibrational output. As we come to understand this powerful stream of life, we can consciously determine the direction of our life experiences on every level and in every way imaginable, both personally and as a people on a global scale.
