Air Fresheners

Air Fresheners

I went to my local supermarket to see what is in air fresheners these days,
and the label on the first product I looked at read: “This product is banned
in California because it causes cancer.” It contained dichlorobenzene, a
chemical that is extremely toxic, a central nervous system depressant, a
kidney and liver poison, and one of the chlorinated hydrocarbons that is
long-lasting in the environment and is stored in body fat.

Make your own simple, yet effective, air fresheners instead!

  • Baking soda neutralizes acid odors, and vinegar neutralizes alkaline odors.
You don’t need much more than these two ingredients to solve most odor
    problems.

  • Health food stores sell air fresheners that are made of herbs.
  • The mineral zeolite works to reduce odors. The mineral is available in bags
that can be placed in closets and other places where the air gets stale.

vinegar only smells while it is wet, as soon as it dries, the smell goes away, i use it for my laundry soap recipe and rinse recipe, also for air freshner, the bee's are only in trouble where people use pesticides and hybrid seeds/flowers, they eat the nectar and get sick from this. so don't use pesticides. i have tons of these little hyacinths around my house and clovers, they LOVE them and i have TONS of bee's. i don't mow a whole area of the nothing but clovers for the bee's.

We sell all natural products because we hav been concerned about chemical ridden products. Our business started as an aromatherapy and all natural store and we are now offering more alternatives. I love my all natural Bergamot & Orange air freshening spritz that is all natural. Check out some of the options in air fresheners that we carry: http://stores.2sistersgallery.com/-strse-Aromatherapy-Products-cln-Home/Categories.bok

Since unplugging our artificial air fresheners, our allergies are not nearly what they were. Now I'm looking for a fabric spray alternative, especially for bed mattresses, that takes care of body oder. We all take showers at night, but there are night sweat oders. Suggestions?

I have used air freshners for many years, until I found out they are very toxicent. I had to go to a doctor and be treated for lung problems, because of the chemicals in the air freshners. Ther are very dangerous. Also check candles on there label for lead contents, they can be very dangerous.
