I'm really not trying to be derogative when I say this, but the idea that MSG is toxic is plainly untrue as scientific consensus keeps reminding us, such as in the scientific review conducted in April 2000 by Ronald Walker and John R. Lupien, 'The Safety Evaluation of Monosodium Glutamate' ( Multiple reviews by a range of institutions have found much the same result, that MSG is not significantly harmful, unless consumed in huge quantities on its own, which is true of most food stuffs and not analogous to how it is consumed in meals. The fact that one person claiming to be an expert wrote a book condemning MSG as toxic simply does not make it true. I urge you all to look critically at both sides of any argument, as believing what is essentially the opinion of one person can be frankly dangerous. In my opinion, people probably want to believe that MSG and vaccines are harmful and if you do believe these things then I urge you also to think about why that is.

The thing is, we can do some things ourselves, without buying that processed thing they call food. Why not make our own soup? Or ice tea? Or ice-cream? It's easy and enjoyable, and we can feel good about ourselves. One of the greatest shocker to me is instant mash potatoe. I mean, seriously! Instant mash potatoe!!! I can never understand people who buy that. Why on Earth would anybody do that is beyond my comprehension.

I've been trying to eat less processed food lately and I hope to get it out of my life completely. Thanks for the info.
