'Garden Meditation Day' reminds me of a healing technique that I learned from a South American shaman. He told me that whenever I needed healing I should visit a garden, woods or anywhere in nature where I would be surrounded by green, and then simply sit and take that color into every cell of my being. Almost every tradition considers green a tremendously powerful healing color -- think of the propensity of green inside hospitals. Just sit and imagine green infusing your body. Once you are completely immersed in that healing color, your meditation is done.
