Through the lens of 'Camera Day' I am thinking about our eyes and how and what they see. So what better time than summer for donning a pair of rose colored glasses? Speaking of pink roses and glasses, rosewater has long been used when magically manifesting hopes, wishes and dreams. Put the petals from a dozen roses in a glass jar and cover them with water. Let this jar sit outside in the sun for a day. Discard the petals but save the water. Write a wish on a piece of paper and place the paper in the rose water. The ink should somewhat dissolve. Then drink the water in order to mystically make your wish come true by this same time next year. Gershwin really was right. With this recipe in hand, summertime and the living really is easy. So is making dreams come true.
