Seems like an oxymoron to me Yams don't need to be cooked in a sugary casserole to be great. Cut into rounds, drizzled with maple syrup. is that not the same Sugary? Why not just bake or wave and add a dab of butter and cinnamon, Ginger or cardamom?

Tofu and vegies don't go bad quickly if you 1) put them in the bottom of the refrigerator. 2) Eat them 3) Put the Veggies in foil, they will last much longer than suffocating in plastic and getting slimy 4) Cook your tofu by parboiling it and then rewrap it. 5) use the tofu "crumbled" into other meals, like you do Amaranth 6) blenderize the tofu and add cocoa 7) make the tofu as you would eggs in the frying pan instead of egg whites, it's quick to go.
I find that if something goes bad, you are buying too much. Personally, I wish we could get smaller portions at the store as too much, is, too much.
