healthy way to live, Go Vegan

Sheri P supplements are not always a panacea...depending in which country one lives in.

Nothing wrong with meat or dairy if they are organically produced and not factory farmed with GMO corn or unnatural grains for herbivores and antibiotics. Meat is healthy for omnivores but still a no no for vegans along with honey and other items. What ever your foods of choice, enjoy. There are tons of foods for vegans, vegetarians and omnivores out there just waiting to be enjoyed.

While the title promotes veganism, the body of the story actually seems anti-vegan. As an ethical vegan myself, acquainted with numerous other vegans and vegetarians, I find this information inaccurate and misleading. All the supposed vegan-related nutrient deficiencies occur in animal eaters as much as vegans. This blurb makes it sound difficult and risky to be a healthy vegan, when in fact the opposite is true. Not impressed by this biased piece.

To be a fair assessment, the rate of anemia in NON vegan women should have been presented. Plenty of women who are on weight loss diets may be anemic due to improper nutrition, so you can't only blame anemia on being vegan.

The biggest caveat of being vegan is the slow and progressive loss of ones mind due to lack of DHA a necessary fat for brain development and function. In a non-vegan diet, saturated fat (from animal sources)is easily converted by the human body, to all the essential fatty acids a human body needs. Now, today, not yesteryear, this nutrient is available in algal form for vegans who are legitimately concerned about their health and not for simply supporting an erroneous biological philosophy and trying to force their religion onto others.
