U-Chan the bird wants to play with Chama the cat! Chama, however, is more interested in napping.

So dangerous for the bird! Please read this for more information on why birds and cats (and dogs) should not be allowed to play together.

Sooo cute :)
Noebies!
Wow - they must have been raised together for them to get along like that. So cute!!
U-Chan, you need to leave poor sleepy Chama alone.
Just so others know... I don't let my cat around my birds. I do have a cat and birds, but when the birds are out of the cage (on the top and hanging out) I am home. Everyone who has remarked that cats are predators by nature are right on the money, just wanted to assure you guys that as much as I trust my own cat, and as old (20) as she is and as gentle is she is, taking chances is silly.
Very cute. My own cat would never hurt my birds. Years ago I had pet rats and one got loose- I woke up to find Huxley sharing her food with the rat (who was fairly small)... in most cases though I would be careful with cats, even laid-back cats. I guess if you really know your cat... then it's okay.
This seems kind of risky. right now, kitty is in a laid back, in a very tolerant mode, but should she get into a more playful or predator mode, Mr. Birdy could very well end up as lunch.Even supervision is no guaranetee.
Once years ago, I was lounging in my back yard when a starling came around the leg of my chair and face to face with my cat. Instinct took over. The cat did not hesitate and instantly snapped the bird's neck before i could even open my mouth to warn the bird.. And this was a cat who never hunted, unlike some of my other cats.
