Most certainly agree with Diane L. People have the choice to follow the diet and lifestyle they so choose and it is grating when those who don't wish to eat chicken, meat, honey, eggs or drink milk feel that they have to continually run a lament about how it is 'not appropriate' for others or for Care2 to mention such things.
The membership of Care2 does include many diverse opinions including omnivores. It is not Club Vegan where membership privileges apply only to those not eating meat. The rest of us are not Infidels, including vegetarians who do happen to (some) eat eggs, drink milk or use honey. Since chicken, meat is hardly presented often as an alternative on Care2 to begin with kindly allow others who do eat meat a fair share of the articles/presentations especially since most of us avoid factory farms. The videos do include non-meat alternatives as there is a series, including the coffee bean! And some do enjoy milk or cream in their coffee.
Lean white chicken is one of the healthiest sources of meat protein, along with cold water fish. For those who wish to not consume animal products, that's fine, but the article here is about ways to built muscle and sources of healthy protein, INCLUDING chicken breast. Don't eat it if you don't want to. None of us who are not vegan are insulting vegans for eating beans or lentils, even though to many of us, we not only can't eat those things, but we don't like them.
Personally, I have no desire to EMBRACE a chicken breast, but I will consume them. For those who are not omnivores, that is your choice, but why the sarcastic and disrespectful insults made against those who are not vegans or vegetarians and still choose to have a healthy and nutritional diet? There is absolutely no justification in judging others for not believing as you do, and your eating habits are your beliefs, which you are most certainly entitled to have, as we are. Beliefs based on personal opinion are the rights of everyone to have as individuals and we have as much "right" to ours as you do.
"No real excuse for not embracing chicken breast"? How about the fact I DON'T eat animals!

Thanks for this post. Im vegan so my protein comes from beans, whole grains and soy protein shakes. I've actually added another shake to my daily diet because Im going to town with weights right now, for more sculpting and definition.
