Buttery Body Balm Formula

Here is an elegant formula for a rich and luscious body balm especially formulated to banish winter dryness and itchy flakes. A lovely combination of shea butter and cocoa butter is the secret to silkier, softer skin–and this creamy balm can be slathered all over.

You could make a batch for yourself and also for someone you love: after all, Valentine’s Day is on its way. Your sweetheart will thank you–and so will your skin!

INGREDIENTS

1 tablespoon shea butter
2 teaspoons cocoa butter
2 teaspoons apricot kernel oil
800 IU Vitamin E
1 teaspoon aloe vera gel
1/4 teaspoon lecithin
5 drops grapefruit seed extract
3 drops lemon essential oil
3 drops rose geranium essential oil

1. Melt the butters and oil together over boiling water. Remove from heat when melted.

2. Add vitamin E and lecithin, then whisk in aloe vera gel and grapefruit seed extract.

3. When almost cool, add essential oils. Mix well.

4. Store in a wide mouth jar.

Jana,

No, the recipe I used didn't have this many ingredients. Thanks for this one, however. But hopefully the easier version will pop up?

Could you rerun your recipe for the bath balls (saw it a few months ago)? They contain honey, coconut oil...can't remember what else. But I made them and LOVE them. But I've misplaced the recipe.

Thank you!
