By 2020 Smart Homes May Think For Themselves

These, days it seems like everything is getting “smarter.” Coffee pots have internal computers, and you can use your phone to tell your home DVR player to record your favorite TV shows while you’re on vacation.

It only makes sense that soon the tiny computers making our gadgets more useful could be incorporated into building plans to make our homes more efficient.

Instead of waiting for us to program the thermostat or turn out the lights when we leave a room, by the year 2020, our homes might be making the decisions for us.

The following infographic explores some of the potential technology we may see in our homes over the next decade.

I have mixed feelings about this, on one hand it's really cool how advanced everything will be and how helpful it can be..on the other hand, i see two things being that people will become 10x more lazy than they already are (which will lead to many other things) and the other being that the government already monitors people in many ways..and having computer chips in the home would only make it so much easier.

For those who unable to do certain things due to physical disabilities this would be great. But could you imagine someone who's grown up solely in smart homes then visiting an old home where you actually have to turn off the lights yourself? They wouldn't know what to do!
