Yes Shan, there is a lot of feline intelligence on Parliament Hill and certainly having the cats run the federal government would bring far more intelligence, compassion and serenity than the current Harper 'government'.

The cats in the Parliament Hill Cat Colony are all neutered and spayed and well looked after.

The CBC video is not available but it is easily found for Canadians googling

as mentioned by Robin R earlier on in the comments.

Googled the CBC news video to watch it since I could not view it, unavailable in my region. Lol, think that will stop me! Glad to see links were provided earlier in the comments as well.

Pamela and others are correct, spaying and neutering is a necessity. Luckily in my area and in many others there are funds made available for doing this if one has financial problems so there really is no excuse not to have this done. Sadly, there are areas where this vital service is not available and it is expensive. Many shelters provide this service at a vet's at a discount in my area making it affordable for many.

I don't see why Florence E. is being lambasted for spaying stray cats. TNR - Trap, Neuter and Release is done by many people. While humans are overpopulated the reason why there are so many stray cats is because people have not spayed or neutered the cats or dogs in the first. place. People like Florence help the cats by feeding them, providing vet care and trying to protect them from sadists Alan, not to have them eliminated.

In Ottawa on Parliament Hill, the seat of government there is a feral colony of cats living outdoors, who are housed in cat condos, fed and looked after.
