While most cats are not so fond of water, many cats take great delight in the frosty version of H2O. My polydactyl cat, Mr. Mittens, LOVES the snow. He is a very skinny cat so he doesn’t last outside in the chilly temperatures very long, but while outside, he dashes, shovels, digs and tunnels in the white powdery fluff with the enthusiasm of a child seeing snow for the first time!
We also have a Maine Coon cat, Sushi, who is well-equipped with huge snow-shoe paws and a luxuriously long fur coat to sit outside for hours as the snowflakes tumble from the sky. Our third cat, Rikki Tikki Tabby, is not so keen to be in the snow and seems more than happy to stay indoors by the hearth until the weather warms up.
From the images collected here, you can see for yourself the joy and excitement that a little snow frolic can bring our feline companions. I also included some wonderful images of big cats in the snow. So please grab a cup of hot chocolate, a lap cat, and enjoy these wintery images!
