Change is good...shows one how many different aspects one really has instead of being automated in reactions and to change.

timely reminder

Nimue Pendragon

That's basically what I do now, I psyche myself into something, it really does work. Especially with things like diets. What the mind accepts, the body is able to accomplish. If it doesn't work it's usually because your mind and body aren't in sync.

The way to change, is first and foremost is to be open to another way percieving or thinking about things from how you normally process information. This is always approached with caution and for good reason. A person's usual way of thinking, becomes so entrenched for most people that they find it close to impossible to see any other way or accept that there are other ways.

As far as alcohol and/drug addiction..... this absolutely comes from within. No outside force can change a person's want for these. The person themselves must make the most commited decision(to themselves, no one else) of their life to choose to quit, and want it more than any other thing in this life. It has to be that serious to succeed.
