Changing Your Reality

The direction of life is from duality to unity: Today I want to belong. I want to feel safe and at home. I want to be aware of what it’s like simply to be, without defenses or desires. I will appreciate the flow of life for what it is–my own true self.
I will notice those moments of intimacy with myself, when I feel that “I am” is enough to sustain me forever. I will lie on the grass looking at the sky, feeling myself at one with nature, expanding until my being fades into the infinite.
The fragmented mind cannot get me to unity, but I have to use it along the way: What does unity really mean to me? What experiences of oneness can I look back upon?
Today I will remember the difference between being at one with myself and being scattered. I will find my center, my peace, my ability to go with the flow. The thoughts and desires that drive me are not the ultimate reality. They are just a way to get myself back to oneness.
I will remember that thoughts come and go like leaves in the wind, but the core of consciousness is forever. My goal is to live from that core.
I am living in many dimensions at once; the appearance of being trapped in time and space is an illusion: Today I will experience myself beyond limitations.
In the same way I will experience love as a light that begins in my heart and spreads out as far as my awareness can reach; as images arise in my mind, I will send love and light in their direction.

add your comment »Dixon it's really simple; D.C.'s comments and historical and scientific commentary are in the language and pertinent to the times they are written in.The reason a holy scripture, a bible must be written in symbolic terms is because it is meant to be universally useful to everyone reading it in all times. Perhaps you are not aware but meanings of words vary in different cultures and in different times. If one of seven interpretations is literally true, the other six are true in different ways that give depth to the truth expressed: not perceived if only the most surface interpretation is accepted. Rabbinically ,the other six interpretations wouldn't be considered if not also true. For instance our world being created in 7 days. We know from fossil record that it was indeed many millions of years and is an ongoing process.Symbolically speaking 7 is the number of transformation and transcendence,a very important number to humans, 7 is the number of years it takes for the planet saturn to return to the same place in the heavens the number of rays and notes we hear and see, etc. The symbolism reconciles the literal and scriptural truths, both and more can be true at once. You are good and perceive goodness.Someone else may not and his interpretation would cut divine goodness, seen as abstract, from creation and emphasize rites of obedience and belonging to his chosen subset to be accepted as good by God. No other thought or belief would be accepted, he would relegate others, no matt

Uma,
Your comments to Lars are a bit off base, i.e., wrong. Truth is truth whether in the Bible or science or whatever. Truth must be true across all boundaries whether they be time, space or whatever.
God of the Bible is good and He creates only good. Because He is so good, He allows man and angels (all part pf His creation) to make choices and sometimes they make bad choices. God does NOT make robots because He is so good.
FYI -- How is the literal interpretation of the Bible any different than your literal interpretation of what DC and his references have to say? It so happens that the rabbis say that every Bible verse has at least 7 interpretations and one of those is a literal one. If any document cannot be interpreted literally, it is of no use whatsoever because it cannot be truly understood.

Lars: Your Bible is not mine.Your choice is a harsh and cruel deity that punishes transgressions and slights in a manner I or for that matter an infinitude of other souls, find divine or acceptable in deity we choose to worship. How you interpret YOUR bible is the narrowest of possible interpretations. For scripture, as opposed to science or history, to be true it must be universally true in all times and places so universal symbolism(yes there is such a thing) must be studied to determine those truths.Literal interpretation of a document that is a compilation starting with the Book of Job to the many sources of your "New Testament" over many hundreds of years is not respectful to the layers of meaning that must lie there for it to be universally useful.God is innate good and can only create good, there is no room for anything but omniscient, omnipresent, deity. Creation is only it extended.

2 sorry about that. When the High (eternal) Self feels it will have a more valuable lesson in sickness, suffering and death. Sometimes it judges the "miracle" as the best lesson and humble surrender leaves the vessel of the mortal self filled with ecstasy; a height and intensity of emotion that "passes all understanding" and at the return to normal vibratory rate one finds oneself cured, or at peace with the chosen lesson,or healed on the other side of death's gate the transition so gentle that it is only noticed in retrospect.Reality is the most flexible of things and can become anything, your mental state that determining everything that will be:from the mundane;placing the arrow in the bulls eye, saying what brings best results in a delicate matter, to the miraculous; the utter surrender to the unknown that allows profound cellular change.

I think there are degrees of change possible to us;yes a limb won't regenerate, but what about all those miracles, remissions of cancers,we all know these things happen.I once took a college course about medicine and miracles in which we studied the reports of medical "miracles" from the time of the temple of Aesculapius, maybe first century a.d.,to currant healing at Lourdes. All of them had a certain commonality of mental/emotional state. There was a suspension of the usual mental patterns: a profound surrender; a symbolic message;a dream or a vision where a higher power swept the supplicant into an ecstatic state from which the return to normal was always accompanied by the cure.My dear Dixon, extremes aside, it's good to have a sense of wonder.Your attitude reminds me of people who refuse to allow themselves belief in the continuation of their awareness after death, even if they want to and are leaning towards it,for fear of being disappointed by being wrong.(Silly right?Either they will learn that they still ARE or they won't know the difference.)They are so afraid of judging themselves babyish and cowardly, afraid to face the hard and bitter truths of life, that they disallow wonder and what are called miracles. It seems to me to be more practical to suspend disbelief in favor of what might be, and give oneself over to the beauty and ecstasy of potential. Why refuse blessings in favor of bitter medicine? My guess is that the only time miracles DON'T occur is when the High Se

Dixon you are right. When a leg is gone, it is gone. But what is left in that void is how one views that loss. Then the HOW one views becomes the ultimate "reality" for that person. It will become the lens through which that person views and interprets his world. If he judges it to be an awful thing (and it is) but he somehow believes that in spite of the bad "luck" that he is okay and that life is still worth living, that will tend to lead him down a different path than if he becomes bitter and angry and never moves on from that position.
It is hard when a person starts out life from early on thinking that nothing good ever happens, that all "bad" stuff does happen and most assuredly to him because it becomes a way of being and thinking that perpetuates the same kind of experiences over and over again. There will be unnecessary limitations that occur because of this pattern until it is broken somehow. It doesn't mean that "bad" stuff won't ever happen again but by removing the limitations or at least some of them will open the flow for better things. Sort of like a dam in a stream. Once some of the debris is removed, things flow more smoothly.
When I experience being ONE it is most likely during times of least resistance to what is while reaching for the sustaining the notion that I CAN make a difference, I CAN make better choices, I CAN do better, I CAN overcome, I CAN think about it from another, higher position, and I CAN choose differently again and agai

I like this. "I am living in many dimensions at once; the appearance of being trapped in time and space is an illusion" It's that our mind is free to do anything, but culture holds us back. Stop caring about what others feel and you are free.

Dwight, the Bible says there is no such thing as our "innate good". That's why we all - no exceptions - need to be born again to be saved.

Us being one in unity have eluded us for thousand of years. The Duality that plagues come about by the Persian when they split the supernatural into two division one good and one bad. Our God given conscience was not enough to explain that. So man when about trying to shift the blame to some supernatural being the devil. But most of us know today that the devil is really the Beast in Men. Those men and women that do in-human things to others have voided themselves of the innate good they were born. As of consequence many that are illuminated can reach that state of unity for they are good---and the same goes for those that voided out all the good, they too find unity from within. But the other 95% of humanity wrestles with the conflicts of life trying best to juggle all the huge over coming problems, as life seems endless in handing out. But one more problem that most face today is living under the rule of tyrannical governments. That force conflict upon all.
But, today we all stand on the Emerald Shores of mankinds re-awakening.
Consciously we all have been praying, hoping and waiting for this shift to come about away from centralized control and big overburdening government for us to take sane and legal control and rule over ourselves.
A brighter day a new dawn a new setting of the sun, more bountiful harvest, more of all to go around is here for us but we must see it then seize it NOW.

Dixon, this particular suggestion wasn't meant for you. You are perfect and don't have to listen to any of this. Poor closed minded little weeeeeeeeee soul. Still a grump, and still seeing through eyes of darkness. Being open to different perspectives doesn't make you a lesser man, but a more interesting one to listen to. Try it.
