I don't object to the idea of relieving a cow's discomfort, I just can't believe that dairy farmers would invest any more money than they had to into their livestock. Profit is the name of the game --and the animals are simply a means to the end.
Why not?
I'd like to see the statistics regarding "boosting milk output". Maybe they would just like to keep the cows comfortable?? There are many wonderful alternative therapies for animals.
