Creating an Authentic Life

Creating an Authentic Life

I have been thinking quite a bit lately about how to live a life that is truly of my own making. It is not always easy to build an authentic life. We are often afraid to pursue our dreams due to a fear of failure. And often, we fail to make time for the things we truly care about because we feel pressured to have different priorities.

Whatever it is that holds us back, it is important to remember that it is within our power to create an authentic life. For quite a while, I have thought I would like to cook and volunteer with Food Not Bombs. I haven’t done it because a part of me was afraid to make the commitment. But I realized this week that there is no reason why I couldn’t be an asset to the organization. The only thing holding me back is myself.

Creating a life that is fulfilling is a choice. To be sure, there are sometimes external circumstances that prevent us from engaging in activities we enjoy or falling certain dreams. But for the most part, we are the ones who shape our own lives, and often, when we fail to create an authentic life, it is due to insecurities and self-doubt. But attempting to have faith in ourselves and working not to run from the uncertainty of trying something new will often help us get closer to the life we truly desire.

Sometimes it works but sometimes not. Try different activities in your life ..some will work and some make you fall on your face .Sometimes the universe ill work with you..or not.
Just go to the places in your soul and see if the universe agrees...or not.
Just living life is always a game changer.

But isn't every life "authentic"? Some may plan for their lives to go a certain path, however there are always obsticles that may some how detour those plans, whether for good or bad, Stumbling blocks can be of our own or by just everyday life itself. Every person is unique and authentic in his or her own way. I feel it's just part of life. If a person doesn't reach their dreams because of circumstance, that does not equate them to being less than a person or a failure. It's called life. Nice article!
