It transcends problems, heartbreaks, and traumas, flowing through dreams and illuminations…. Whether guidance comes during times of tranquility or trauma, however, it is up to you to have the courage to acknowledge it.…

How true is this to many of the inventors and great thinkers who, despite all others telling them that their ideas are "impossible" strove until they made them a reality.

My belief is intact and against all odds of State and Church i will stand. I will not back down. My faith is the Holy Bible word for word. Not just to believe in what feels good to me at the time. I am cast here in this life of extreme evilness. I welcome the end so i can be saved from this hell.

My favorite for TODAY....(9/11/2008) is:
"Courage, it would seem, is nothing less than the power to overcome danger, misfortune, fear, injustice, while continuing to affirm inwardly that life with all its sorrows is good; that everything is meaningful even if in a sense beyond our understanding; and that there is always tomorrow.
Dorothy Thompson"
Because there are those for whom on THIS DAY in 2001...there ceased to BE a Tomorrow...
Were they full of courage in their final moments? They have stood for courage to many of us remaining...They have become courage...they will never be forgotten, because if we forget them...we forget all that we are as human beings.
They were just folks, people who loved, and were loved by someone...they were just living their lives when they were interrupted as they went about their day.
We never KNOW when we wake up what the day holds...yet we go about our business as if we know everything that matters to us will be encountered, dealt with, enjoyed or not...and we will be safe in bed when the day is done....
That's courage of a sort....too.

I'll go with :- "I am open to the guidance of synchronicity and do not let expectations hinder my path" His Holiness The Dalai Lama -
also it was said by Buddha
"Expect much of yourself and little of others and thus you will be spared much vexation"
Namaste`
J.

Regarding the quote by Dalai Lama ~~
"I am open to the guidance of synchronicity, and do not let expectations hinder my path."
--Dalai Lama ~~
My thoughts on this: Would be an excellent daily affirmation for myself concerning expectations, as it seems to have been a pattern in my life that I would have expectations of others, however, become aware of it only later when disappointed by those expectations being unmet. My desire is to become more mindful of my expectations and intentions regarding each of my loved ones, family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, indeed every living creature on the planet, so as not to place an undue burden on anyone with unfair
expectations that they are not obligated to meet...especially those expectations arising out of personal selfishness, or more specifically, my own need to receive love being greater than the love I have been able to give.
I am grateful for the Dalai Lama for those words of wisdom. They are appreciated greatly, and I believe if applied, those words could indeed change a person's life. I am going to put this into action in my own life, beginning today, September 15, 2007.

Bravo to Dorothy she hit the nail on the head. I am the only parent of 2 children and I have MS. My motto is fake it until I make it.
There is no time to feel sorry for things that I do not understand or control. All I have is today to create the memories my children will remember forever.
Onward and upward,
And just walking the challenge of life creates character and courage :)
