Trans fats are very dangerous and a moderate amount of fat is essential to the diet, one simply has to know the healthy amounts and be careful. There are some who refuse to eat any fat, even avoiding olive oil for instance and the body needs a certain amount of fats to function properly.
Keep it varied, keep it unprocessed, but above all, keep it moderate...

YOU COULDN'T BE MORE WRONG!!! Haven't you people seen the CURRENT health info that shows that healthy saturated fats are not only NOT bad for you, but they are NECESSARY FOR HEALTHY BODILY FUNCTIONS! Your brain is made up of over 70% fat!! Your heart should ideally use fats for energy, not carbs. And, news to most people, saturated fats do NOT cause high cholesterol!!!! Previous studies showing otherwise have been disproven, time and time again. Eating saturated fats from healthy animals and other sources such as coconut oil have been proven to improve the condition of many people with health issues. Of course, if everyone knew this, then the pharmaceutical companies couldn't make as much money off of cholesterol meds.
Look it up on the internet. I am so disappointed that Care2Healthy is no longer looking at real, natural health and has caved in to the allopathic health industry and the money that drives it. Please do your own research and learn the truth. Don't rely on this bogus information
